The Web Wanderer
June 29, 1995
by Chuck Farnham
As the Web World continues to grow we all knew it would be a matter of time
before someone would offer a method of censorship, SurfWatch, developed in
Northern California by a husband and wife team, does just that.
SurfWatch searches a database of sites which these two individuals have deemed
unacceptable for viewing and will not let you load those sites. It should come as
no surprise that my site made their inaugural list and I consider it a badge of
honor that it did, one can only wonder what criteria they used to determine
objectionable sites and news groups.
Personally Id love to look at each and every site in their database because from
my point of view they must be some of the coolest web sites on the planet. Look
for us to publish SurfWatch-banned sites in future issues.

Chuck Farnham has been obssessed with computer technology since the late
1970's, he took the term dumpster diving to new heights when he
published Apple's secret product development plans in the 1980's and
has appeared in four adult films in the 1990's, he can best be
described as eccentric on a good day and a freak on the bad ones. These
days he can be found among other places on Alex Bennett's Morning show
on LIVE 105 in San Francisco. Send Chuck e-mail at cfarnham@best.com,
